Like a great car to drive with features of a campervan and more! Enjoy the unique sleeping options of a large double bed which can be used fully inside the vehicle, or extended out the back into an awning for 30% more space. Our cheaper option.

Internal sleeping option

Only Spaceships have two sleeping options allowing you to sleep inside with the back door closed or sleep outside by extending the bed into the rear awning for 30% more space and ventilation on those hot summer nights. To set up: Simply swivel the rear seat around to face the back door, set up the internal bed legs (provided for free) then sit the bed extension on top. This takes under 10 seconds and is a great option for the winter months.

This is a great sleeping option as it provides more room but the ventilation is especially good in summer. All you have to do is extend the bed out the back by using the same bed extension as the internal option then fit the rear awning. This takes about 30 seconds and provides a fully enclosed waterproof sleeping option. A large insect screened window is included which can be zipped up or left down for increased ventilation.

- Cook a meal with a pot and pan going at the same time (spaghetti bolognaise anyone!!)

Alpha Spaceships come with a special cooker stand that is easy to set up. Then you just add the portable burners to the stand so you have a convenient platform to cook from. You also have the option to set up your cooker on a picnic table if you wish. You can purchase additional gas canisters for only $10 from our depots (normal retail over $12). A complete cooking kit is provided along with utensils and a 20 litre water container.
Special self-charging two battery system (up to 24 hours battery life)
- The first battery runs the Spaceship
- The second battery charges the stereo, DVD player, chiller and internal lights
- The first battery charges the second battery as you drive
- You don't need to stay at powered campsites every night and you can always start your Spaceship in the morning!
Spaceships are set up with two batteries, one runs the CD/DVD player, chiller and internal lights, and the other battery starts the engine. This allows you to operate the chiller and watch a DVD while the engine is not running - this will run the auxiliary battery down but the Spaceship will always start on the other battery, and then self-charge as you drive.
This means you do not have to pay for powered sites like you would in an ordinary campervan or motorhome to charge your vehicle, so saves you money!
Seat-belted seating for 3-4
- One baby or booster seat can be used (child must be older than one years old)
- Two adults can fit in the back seat but it can be a tight fit.
There is seat-belted seating for four people but it will be cozy for two large adults in the backseat. You can tilt the rear seat back when watching a DVD or for comfort on the road. You can also move it forward or back and swivel it around for different options.

Storage area
- Internal storage space for all living equipment
- Secure rear storage area large enough for two large backpacks.
- You can also store luggage or gear by the middle seats and on the bed if necessary.
In the front compartment there is storage space for food, cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery as well as the 7 litre chiller (can hold at least 6 beers) and two water tanks. In the rear compartment there is room for at least two large backpacks, this area is lockable and hidden from view.

Unique 3 in 1 swivel seat design for internal seating, eating and sleeping
The swivel seat in a Spaceship performs three unique functions:
1. Driving mode: The seat can face forward in the driving position and seat one person with a shoulder belt and one with a waist belt. You can fit a child seat or booster seat if required. We cannot cater for babies under the age of one.
2. Eating mode: You can turn the seat so it is facing out the side door. Then set up the attachable table and eat dinner or get out your laptop!
3. Sleeping mode: Lastly, you can turn the seat to face the rear door and then extend the bed internally by placing the bed extension on the seat (bed legs are also included).

All Inclusive Insurance - Only $30 extra per day for complete cover. Max charge $1050 i.e. 35 day rental.
